Receiving Materials from Florida
School Book Depository:
When receiving a truck
shipment, it is your responsibility to INSPECT AND COUNT ALL CARTONS
with the driver and to sign for the exact number of cartons received
and to note the condition of any damaged cartons. Note any shortages
or damages on the freight bill or delivery receipt. Please make sure
you get a copy of the signed receipt showing the discrepancy, and
provide it to Florida School Book. The delivering company assumes
responsibility for all material shipped but a claim cannot be filed
without a signed delivery receipt noting the exceptions. Florida
School Book will file a claim for you if you have a properly
documented and signed freight bill. If the shipment is sent via UPS
and the carton is damaged, please refuse the carton and have it
returned to FSBD. We will replace the materials once we have
received the returned damaged carton.
Please check the
contents of your order against the packing list as soon as the order
is received. DO NOT STAMP or mark material until the order is
verified. Stamped material cannot be returned for credit.
If you received too many items, received
items that you did not order or were shorted items from your
invoice, please complete the Report
Order Discrepancies form and you will be contacted by a member
of our staff.
If you received damaged materials please
complete the Report Damaged
Materials form and we will forward replacements to you and
arrange to have the damaged books returned to our warehouse.
If you received defective materials please
complete the Report Damaged
Materials form and we will arrange to have the defective
materials returned to our warehouse. Once we have received the
defective materials, we will forward replacements.
If you wish to return materials for credit
please complete the Return
Authorization Request form and we will fax approval to you. All
items for return must be unmarked and in new resalable condition.
Please include a
copy of the approval with your return.
